The stillness in stillness is not the real stillness.
Only when there is stillness in movement, can the spiritual rhythm appear which pervades heaven and earth.
The above words come from the East, I cannot quite remember where in India I wrote these words down but they are truly significant for Art practice.
"Heaven and earth' as quoted above does not refer to any one religion or space in the sky, to me it is a reference to the higher dimensions within a human (emotion and thought etc..), and earth is fairly well known but for some reason in our modern 'Western' mindset, is detached from heaven.
Art in all its forms and practices and disciplines can be an evolving experience for art makers and the art appreciator.
